Therfore, we aimed to point out the errors in case endings and conjugation made by Uzbek and Azerbaijani students learning Turkey Turkish and whose mothertongue is from Turkish languages at A.Ü. TOMER since it is a very important subject about which any information is needed. We found out the errors made by totally 220 Uzbek and Azerbaijani students by analysing their composition papers according to the system in TOMER (Basic Turkish I- II, Intermediate Turkish I- II, Advanced Turkish I-II). In the second section, by studying on the case endings, we indicated the students' errors in these endings. We presented the numerical values of the observed errors in tables according to the levels and countries. We observed that students generally make errors in the endings which are used differently in their mothertongue. It is inferred that, student don't have difficulty in the subjects similar to their mothertongue however, in the different subjects, they have tendency to transfer the characteristics of their native language to the language they learn. In the third section, the errors of conjugation are presented. It is observed that student write the finite form of the verb wrong, make errors in subject-verb agreement, make lexicological errors because they don't know the vocabulary well, make wrong use of voice morphemes and they transfer verbs from their mothertongue. Although Uzbek Turkish and Azerbaijani Turkish are branches of Turkish languages, the different structures between Turkey Turkish and these two languages caused students to make errors. In the fourth section, we briefly presented the other errors in the students' composition papers. In the last section, we made some suggestions on teaching Turkish to the foreign students by making a general evaluation of the subject. 160
